We present a qualitative analysis of students' written narratives of gender norm violation projects-for example, women smoking cigars, repairing cars, wearing moustaches men doing housework, carrying purses, wearing nail polish, crying in public-in terms relevant to theoretical literature that problematizes heterosexuality.
